Scratch started with a humble concept: beer, burgers and good times. Scratch Kitchen & Lounge in Forest Park has been cranking out top-notch food for six years! After the success of SKL, we opened Scratch Catering & Parties right across the street to provide a party room and full-service catering.
Next, we opened Scratch on Lake in Oak Park, which has the same menu as SKL, with a larger space, a more “restaurant” feel and an awesome full bar with specialty cocktails.
Scratch Owner - Chef Patrick O'Brien
Scratch Owner and Chef Patrick O’Brien, a Forest Park resident, spent his years growing up in the River Forest area. He attended Fenwick High School and has an A.A.S. Degree in Culinary Arts. Patrick has over 25 years of professional food service and management experience.
Chef Patrick personally ensures Scratch Restaurants live up to their core concept: beer, burgers and good times. He aims to perfect this concept at his restaurant locations in Forest Park and Oak Park. When you visit a Scratch Restaurant, there’s a very good chance Chef Patrick will personally greet you to ensure his restaurant is living up to your expectations.
